The Traveling Hungryboy

Well, one way to address the corn versus flour quesabirria question is to drop the tortilla altogether. And this truck on north side of Paul Moore Park (1426 Hillsdale Avenue) had exactly that: keto birria tacos, where the grilled cheese acts as the tortilla. That one in the upper left above required a fork and knife to handle, but basically was the gooey rich thing that you'd expect.

That said, I'd rather have a proper tortilla, especially since a nice corn one is a huge part of the reason why I like tacos so much in the first place. They provided decent ones with their shrimp taco in the lower right, and their four salsas were delicious too, especially the creamy chipotle. Next time I should try their protein-style birria taco as well as the bacon-wrapped shrimp taco.
