At S$38 (US$29), this thing was not cheap. But I saw my teammate ordering this at Ichinoji yesterday and for some reason I couldn’t get the thought of those scallops out of my head today, so I came down to give it a try.

The funny thing is that the scallops were the thing that I liked the least, especially since they were battered and slightly sweet.

But they were good quality products, which is reflective of everything here, actually, including not just the unagi, but also the rice, the broth, and even the garnishes. That explains the high prices.
