Even if the airport in Malé is expectedly small, I was hoping that there would still be some places serving local food. But I couldn't find much in the International Terminal aside from some shelf-stable snacks in the gift shop. Fortunately. these little cigar/sausage-like things wrapped in banana leaves were pretty cool: they are from the southern islands, and are composed of shredded young coconut and coconut honey, making for a deliciously sweet and rich treat. I would've bought more if they weren't so pricey.
