The Traveling Hungryboy

I had no idea what pempek was, but that was precisely why I ordered it from Indorica today. It turned out to be a set of chewy tapioca fishcakes sitting in a dark but thin sauce underneath. That sauce was a little sweet, but not too much, and in fact it was pleasantly spicy, even if it didn't look the part. I don't know if I'll pay S$9.20 (US$6.80) for it again, but I liked it.
