The folks at Birds of a Feather have opened up this noodle shop (51 Telok Ayer Street #01-01, 9755-1058). Braised beef noodles were the first thing on the menu, featuring some impressively tender meat. But perhaps more interesting was this ox tongue noodle in a clear but potent broth above. It was bursting with Sichuan peppercorns, even if the use of chickpeas were a bit odd (fortunately, I like chickpeas). I liked it, although I'm not sure what the big deal was about those Mianyang rice noodles. Honestly, I wouldn't have even noticed them had no one mentioned it.
