I normally don't bother with Mexican food in Singapore. So when I first heard about this place (39 Seah Street, 6258-0701), I quickly dismissed it. Yet it looked kinda promising when I walked by the other day (is the chef really from Popotla?). I thus decided to refuel here before heading for nearby drinks later.
It was better than I was expecting, especially given that they had a salsa made from fresh habaneros. The proteins were decent too (they even had an Impossible option!). But there was one big thing that let me down: their tortillas, which were not only too big, but also not gritty nor fragrant enough. Sorry, I'm a tortilla snob.
