Despite all of the times that I've eaten luosifen, it was only recently that I noticed that some packets had alternate instructions to prepare a non-soup version. Haohuanluo's crayfish flavored package had such instructions, and this is what I ended up with. It tasted like what one would imagine: not that different from the soup version, although the flavors were pretty concentrated, even without having used all of the sauces. I think I'll stick to the soup version.
