The Traveling Hungryboy

I'm not clear on the backstory, but I guess that there are a lot of stalls around calling themselves Tanjong Rhu Wanton Noodles, with some claiming to have been around since 1986. This stall at United Square, on the other hand, says that they have been around since 1994, and yet the signage features the Chinese character zheng, which from what I can see online, says that it has been around since 1986. Huh?

Anyway, it was basically just your everyday food court wanton noodles. To their credit, those thin noodles were firm and eggy enough that I was happy to wolf that bowl down. But the char siew wasn't anything that special, nor was the chili sauce. In that sense, Eng's is still the one to beat.
