This stall (30 Seng Poh Road #02-06) has gotten some attention lately due to a listing in the Michelin Guide. The name is in reference to fried tofu that they grill on a fire and then stuff with bean sprouts and cucumbers. I was a bit bummed to find then that they didn't serve them whole like the photo on the stall suggested. Instead, it got chopped and tossed in sauce. The good thing is that I'm starting to appreciate the complexities of that dark rojak sauce more than I previously did. But next time I might ask if they can serve it straight and unadulterated, as I couldn't even taste the tofu that I waited so long for them to grill when it got covered in the sauce.
