The Traveling Hungryboy

Yay, I'm really liking how restaurants are doing takeout versions of their set lunches. Bistro du Vin's (1 Scotts Road #01-14, 6733-7763) version was S$5 (US$3.70) more than Bar-A-Thym's, and it's a selection of items rather than a daily menu. So I chose a duck breast and watercress salad, chicken Basquaise, and a chocolate cherry tart to close. Admittedly I wasn't a huge fan, as the chicken in particular was rather boring, paling in comparison to Bar-A-Thym's much more delicate and aromatic approach. But it traveled well, and I'd be willing to go back to try the other items.
