Time for more cheap yakiniku, this time out of an open air kopitiam (27 Jalan Berseh #01-100). I was pretty happy with the karubi that we ordered, especally since the kimchi wasn't sugary sweet like at Yakiniku Go. Sure, the 100 gram portions of meat weren't much, but they maximized it by slicing the meat thinly, which also made it tasty and easy to grill.
OK, let's be honest: this isn't that different from mookata in a different configuration, and arguably the food was basically just deconstructed Pepper Lunch. But I'm happy eating mookata and Pepper Lunch, and the fact that they serve on paper bowls and plates here makes me even more happy. I'd much rather eat here than at Keisuke's weird chicken place.
