The Traveling Hungryboy

I'm not sure if Hototogisu has this at its other outlets, but I noticed it in the corner of the menu at their Causeway Point outlet (1 Woodlands Squre #02-09C, 6219-5712) and was very curious given how much I like both lemon and ginger. It's too bad then that neither of those ingredients pervaded the broth like I had hoped they would; instead, they were basically just little toppings on the side of an otherwise regular tonkotsu bowl. I mean, I liked the minced ginger, but it was more of an afterthought than an integral part of the bowl. And those lemon slices are still a bit jarring if one bites straight into it including the rind.
