The Traveling Hungryboy

I was in the Hillcrest area tonight and needed some food, so I stopped in here (110 West Washington Street, 619-295-9713). It was basically X-berto's-style food, but one notch up with a salsa bar and with a very friendly proprietor. I went for that combo plate above, which did the job, even if it wasn't anything to get me overly excited; the sauces were more sour than they were spicy, and in some ways, I prefer a grimier approach. Still, these guys had menudo and birria on their menu, which I'd be interested in trying if they make it available on weekday evenings.
