Lamb Chop

Hainanese Western food usually isn't my first choice at a hawker center. And yet, I've noticed recently that these guys (70 Zion Road #01-12, 6733-7386) seem to be one of the most popular stalls at Zion Riverside Food Centre, with some pretty long waits at that. So I figured that I'd give it a try to see what the fuss was about. I asked for their most popular item, to which they pointed to these S$7 (US$5) lamb chops.

About 15 minutes later, they gave me this. The lamb was extremely tender and tasty, especially with its slightly crispy fat and a brown sauce that didn't overpower it. Granted, those (presumably) crinkle cut fries and cold (seriously, it's like they took them straight from the can) baked beans didn't exactly make this fine dining. But I was much happier than I thought I would be, and wouldn't mind eating it again.
