This lime, ginger, and white onion topped bowl at Uma Uma sounded different. So I gave it a try, but was let down, particularly as the broth wasn't as thick and earthy as I had hoped, and somehow that lime and ginger just didn't work well with it all, even if the contrasting flavors were a nice idea.

What I was much more impressed with, on the other hand, was their chashudon, which featured delightfully smoky and fatty bits of pork sitting on top of rice and with the added sweet and stanky bite of chopped white onions on there. Next time I might just go straight for that.
