The Traveling Hungryboy

Beurre is an upscale place that I've always been curious about, but never wanted to spend the money that's required there (23 Bukit Pasoh Road, 9660-0597). So it was to my surprise to find out that they had started a cheaper "Fatbowls" service for lunch and takeout that still featured some of their signature items. That truffle pork bowl above, for instance, sat on top of their mashed potatoes, which as the name of the restaurant suggests, are heavily loaded with butter, making them super tasty and smooth. We were also happy with a delightful pasta dish featuring smoky cuts of lardon and chorizo. The portions weren't big, but it transported well, and was a great deal either way, which means that we'll order from them again.
