I went back to Masamune today for one of their soup-based bowls this time, and it was disappointingly boring. The chashu looked pretty but didn't effuse that wonderful grilled aroma that I remember from the first time. I'm not sure if my expectations have become over-inflated or if the execution at this store is of a lower standard, but there really isn't anything that is going to draw me back here again. Yawn.
