Travel nowadays can be hectic and stressful and sometimes Baby Boomer along with travelers arrange for everything except themselves and wellbeing during the road. Whether the trip is made for business, pleasure or both, take time to policy for a healthy travel experience. Here are ten tips from  Jody Sullivan, head of fitness with the Hilton Hotel chain, about how precisely to stay healthy on the highway.

10 methods for staying healthy on a trip 
  • Plan workouts. Just as travelers arrange for business meetings and sightseeing, they must also insurance policy for workouts and peace and quiet. Traveling is hectic and it's easy to forgoe one's regular agenda for rest and rejuvenation while you're on the road. Instead, schedule those workouts. Figure out the afternoon and time you want to visit the health club and log it into the itinerary. Keep in mind nearly all our fitness gyms offer 24-hour access.
  • Get up and stretch on flights. Travelers should take a b- few minutes every hour or so to stretch and improve circulation to combat fatigue. Even for travelers sandwiched inside dreaded middle row using a plane should politely excuse themselves for any walk or stretch inside aisle.
  • Try new activities. Exercise whenever possible but vary the routine. The same old workout can be dull and boring. If you have use of a fitness center on the trail, check out new machines and workouts. Even for those residing at budget accommodations without having fitness facilities, a brisk walk in a very safe area can bed do wonders.
  • Watch those calories.  The pleasures of drinking and eating on the path are legendary. Many travelers throw caution for the winds and eat more when traveling, coming back home with a few excess weight. Although most travelers won't lose weight during the road, they ought to at least stay away from gaining weight. Keep an eye out for high calories, fatty food and desserts. Sample but try not to over indulge
  • Pack those sneakers. The best shoes to wear with a trip include the most comfortable shoes.  Traveling isn't the time to break in the new set of two high heels or strappy sandals. Stash some lightweight workout gear into the luggage, too.
  • Walk during breaks.  Business travelers should make good standby time with the time in between meetings by walking while returning phone messages. For vacationers, sneak inside a walk between sightseeing tours and dinner or even better, take walking tours versus bus tours
  • Stay hydrated. Traveling can dehydrate our bodies. Travelers should drink 6 to 8 glasses of water every day to flush toxinsfrom the entire body and remain alert. However, for people traveling to areas with questionable water supplies, drink only bottled water which has an unbroken cap. Brush your teeth with bottled water , nor open your mouth and ingest water while within the shower.
  • Get a superb night's sleep. Try to stick to your needs regular waking and sleeping hours if you can ,. Sleep can be as important as exercise and eating healthy. Make sure to get at the very least six to eight hours of sleep each night. If a red eye flight was in your future, find the preferred travel pillow possible and pair it with a few easrplugs for the greatest rest possible.
  • Breathe. Travel is stressful and during stressful situations, proper breathing is significant.  By practicing proper breathing, overall mental and physical health might be improved.
  • Get a massage. For those travelers with a bit of extra money, book a  massage or spa treatment either before or while having trip. This may help alleviate stress and rid one's body of toxins. Better yet, go on a spa vacation. However, know that your doctor gives medical approval first since massage is contraindicated in a few health conditions.
